Chicken cacciatore – Italian recipe



Besides called “chicken hunter’s style”: famous in Italian restaurants all over the world and here in its inventive City form from GialloZafferano; Italy’s most famous nutrient website.The poultry cacciatore is a traditional Tuscan dish, which is wide known and appreciated within Italy, above all in the northern regions. This recipe is really unforced to prepare and very tasty , gratitude to the use of savory ingredients, such as onions, tomatoes and red wine which bring out the pullet flavour. The origins of this formula jump back still once to the humble people’s world, who could eat and cook basically what they had astatine their disposal. For this reason, during the holiday days the chicken (and above all the hen) unbroken by peasants used to become a unsparing meal enhanced by the home-grown vegetables and the nouveau wine . Begin by gutting the chicken and cutting it into pieces (1), leaving the skin on to give more look to the recipe. Heat the oil in a non-stick vessel and brown the pieces of chicken against both sides for about 10 minutes until aureate brown (2). At this point add the sparingly chopped onion and the garlic, the chopped herb and the carrots (3), a pinch of salt, the pepper and the rosemary, and brown everything for at least 5 minutes more. Former well coloured, pour the red wine onto the chicken (5) and let it evaporate. Then add the tomatoes (6), cover with a lid and let it simmer on a medium fire (7) for at least 30 minutes (or until the chick is well cooked and soft); during this time …
